Quinn, Eyen and Kayla, Quinn's TCU AI, return to Ebon Olcar from Earth space aboard the Arrow of Olcar after providing aid to Earth Forces in defending Earth from the generation ships of an invading alien culture. They were initially mistaken as invaders themselves and were attacked, several times before Earth Forces accepted them for who they were. Immediately after defeating the Ohmtahn-Rhee, a military coup took place against Earth's current world government, from within the Earth Forces military. The coup was led by a power-seeking captain of a Battlecruiser, Colonel Rutger Zendler, who had managed to gather a large number of high ranking officers to his cause. After two and a half months dealing with the Ohmtahn-Rhee, it took another five weeks to overcome the revolutionists. After a week of celebration and numerous awards, the crew of the Arrow extended their condolences and left Earth space for home. They needed to rest and to get back to their normal lives. Their 'normal' lives were quite far beyond normal! Upon reaching home new problems were presented. A volcano developed and threatened an entire Kindred village. And the Meerdol were at it again, trying to take over kindred land and eliminating any in their way!
