A flower cannot sprout up, instantly, into a flourishing garden without proper nourishment of the seed that the gardener has planted. The seed, if properly cared for, develops into roots. However, these roots must, similarly, be adequately sustained. If it's roots are not well-maintained, it will eventually wither away, never living up to its full potential in serving its purpose in a healthy garden. The same concept applies to us as human beings. God, the greatest Gardener, has planted healthy seeds within each of us. However, transparently speaking, there are times where we forget to water, provide sunlight, and properly cultivate what He has given us. Consequently, because of the lack of nourishment, we begin to feel challenged and defeated, leaving us in a state of brokenness. Would you like to know the best thing about acknowledging a state of brokenness? The answer is that you DON'T have to stay broken! God has given you the authority to live out your purpose the way that He has designed. BUT, in order to do so, you have to be open, transparent, and be willing to "Get Real with God" in whatever season of life you may find yourself in. Over the next several days, allow this devotional to encourage you to become more transparent with God. This is not a scholarly book. All the scholarly books and resources in the world do not equate to the relationship and restoration you can experience by allowing God to deal with the inner roots of your heart. The Gardener wants to nourish the seeds of your heart. Will you allow Him?
