Robert William Chambers (1865 - 1933) was an American artist, and author of fiction. He is best known for his book of short stories entitled "The King in Yellow" (1895). POLICE is a volume of xenobiology: cryptozoology. Weird monsters and strange relics from the fossil eras; things which ought never to have walked upon the face of this earth.
