The plot revolves around the life of an archaeologist, Elizabeth Hills, who after achieving more than she had ever expected decides to go to Iceland for a change . And that mere trip changes her entire life when she plays a game of billiards with a stranger. She does not meet him again, returns to Canterbury and gradually forgets him. But three years later, a letter knocks her door, with remnants from the past. This is how her unpremeditated journey of life begins, a journey which takes her around the world in the search of the only man, she ever dared to love. In search of a stranger.
