THE IMMINENT EXIGENCY BY GILBERT YEGONA ship is ostensibly hijacked by Somali pirates. A volunteer doctor is abducted from a United Nations High Commission for Refugees camp in Northern Kenya. In the cargo hold of a yacht drifting aimlessly in the Lesser Antilles lays a deadly secret. Islamic fundamentalists seem to be the architects of a Machiavellian ploy and are on the verge of acquiring deadly weapons and have taken advantage of the first class drug smuggling distribution network of the Los Zetas drug syndicate to deploy them in contiguous US terra firma. A Task Force is assigned the task of foiling the terrorist's nefarious agenda. A Special Forces operative gets entangled in the muddle as his past comes to haunt him. All hell breaks loose when a covert trade-off goes haywire and high-tech weapons a covert government agency supplied are hijacked by rogue government agents. The dangerous weapons find their way back into continental US with startling ramifications. What's even more startling is that a former Spec-Ops soldier who had hitherto been presumed dead resurfaces under an alias and the million-dollar question is this: Is he one of the good guys or not? The ingenuity of the delivery of the weapons puts the 'double 'in the 'double jeopardy'. The massacre the terrorists are planning is unprecedented in US history and would make 9/11 pale in comparison. The villains had permeated the fabric of society and infiltrated the echelons of security apparatus. Time is of the essence. It is up to Pierce Clayton Frost with the help of gung-ho Homeland Security Lt-Gen Jarvis Roth to sabotage the nefarious scheme of the purveyors of Armageddon.
