Even before her encounter with the Sasquatches, Tiny Shell has visions of a strange, other world, and an incomprehensible destiny. From an early age, Merrick tells his mother strange things about time and a blue and green ball in space. Rejected by his father, he becomes socially withdrawn until meeting a girl with intellectual abilities equal to his own. Her death leaves him angry and confused. When Danni is ten, her mother disappears, leaving her distrustful of the world. After a few years, she develops a love for her mom's passion-running, which helps her find a way forward in life. She has dreams about two small children needing her help, and a trail through a remarkable forest. Unknown to any of the three, human traffickers circle around them. When their lives collide on Cravenstone Island, their latent psychic and temporal abilities go into overdrive, but unfortunately, the human traffickers are now aware of all three.
