The Best Good Time
Mike Scanlon
Now baby boomers (and others) can relive with relish the pre-Reagan... pre-personal computer... pre-ATM machine... pre-cellular telephone era of the late 1970's... and survive a spell of "disco" fever. The Best Good Time is a nostalgic adventure. It takes the reader back to a specific week in time in March, 1978 -- the week two 30-year-old bachelors, Mark Stanton and Bill Jackson, made a cross-country trip from San Francisco to Washington, DC. This is not just another wacky "road trip." Every day of the weeklong escapade brings laughs amid the fascinating yet bizarre twists and turns of the open road.
