Jack Poisner is legally blind; growing up in a world not yet familiar with the concept of legal blindness, he learns how to fight to survive his peers, the education system and more. Eventually, happily married with a family of his own and living well with his visual disadvantages, life throws him an overripe pumpkin - when he wakes up one morning and discovers, he is suddenly, totally blind.
