This is a 40 day devotional opening with the Lord's Prayer, a scripture to ponder and life lessons. The author shares and closes with a daily reflection, a verse to remember and a question to think over. The goal is CONSECRATION, helping the reader to step aside and out of the busy flow of life to spend some time in deep DEVOTIONAL thought and PRAYER. Consecration... The Bible says, "You shall consecrate yourselves therefore and be holy, for I am the Lord your God" (Leviticus 20:7). Consecration has two parts: our part, separating ourselves from a sinful life, and God's part, using us to benefit his Kingdom. Consecration means that you are to set yourself apart from evil, turn to the Lord, and be prepared to be used by God. Devotion... Paul said, "For as I passed by and beheld your devotion", Acts 17: 23. Devotion is defined as dedication, attachment to a cause, a form of worship. Prayer... "Pray without ceasing", I Thessalonians 5:17 Prayer is an act that seeks to activate a rapport to an object of worship through deliberate communication. Those sermons put a desire in me to learn more and more about God. Words are like birds they will fly away if you don't capture them.
