When Rosemary Clooney appeared on David Frankham's BBC radio program in 1955, she encouraged her host to pursue his unfulfilled dream of acting. Frankham appeared on many of TV's enduring classics, from playing Larry Marvick, one of the engineers who designed the USS Enterprise on Star Trek, to other popular shows such as Alfred Hitchcock Presents, The Outer Limits, and Maverick. Movie success followed, including leading roles in Return of the Fly, Master of the World, and Tales of Terror, all three starring his boyhood idol, Vincent Price. Other notable film roles included voicing Sgt. Tibs the cat in Disney's 101 Dalmatians.
