The Brooklyn Trilogy
Robert J Randisi
Nick Delvecchio's Brooklyn was a great place to grow up on, but his family life was kinda of rocky and his cases dangerous.
No Exit from Brooklyn has him working on a case while his sister is a passenger on a highjacked plane. So while working his case he's also paying attention to the news.
In The Dead of Brooklyn Nick's brother-the-father, a Catholic priest is accused of sexual misconduct and murder, so it's up to him to prove him innocent.
The End of Brooklyn (starred review from Booklist) is the end of the trilogy, taking Delvecchio 20 years into the future and putting his entire family in jeopardy.
