Sad Songs and Nothing Resolves is a book of poems written by a sad song writer who has never been able to escape the black clouds and whiskey drenched shadows cast by his past work. The work that never really paid off or really never took off. A man stuck in the past. Poems written in the dark that bring to light the heaviness of creating one's own hellish story and having to live with it. Lost love, lost past, lost hope, basically just lost. Poems that seem to have no place in this world as much as the poet feels hopelessly lost here too. The poems a brutally honest, almost too much so. But in their bleakness and frantic pace some form of peace is longed to be found. But can it ever really be found following sad songs that never resolve?
