Are there really "virgin birth" narratives in the Gospels of Matthew and Luke, or were the supposed "virgin birth" passages written ambiguously enough to be taken two (opposite) ways? To a Jew, the birth passages could be saying Jesus was the natural son of Joseph, which would trace Jesus' natural lineage to King David through King Solomon, through the fathers, just as Jews are looking for in the messiah.
