One might think that churches divide over the use of musical instruments in worship because of differing views of scripture. The bigger picture, though, is that those competing views of scripture spring from competing views of church history. In "Whose View of History?" Corbitt shines a light on the understandings of history held by Christians on both sides of the divide. He provides the opportunity for us to understand the cultural influences working on the early church and reformers, even to read their teachings for ourselves. His aim is to bring peace and help heal the division over musical instruments.
