Through a twist of fate, author Paul Holmes has inherited an abandoned Shinto Temple on a mountain in rural japan. Seeking peace and quiet in which to work, he decides to travel there and check it out. Unknownest to him the temple isn't all that abandoned. Both from the slow fading of magic and developers who want to strip-mine the mountain.
