A book of poems written by Oregon poet Linda Varsell Smith throughout the year 2020. It covers everything from Linda's day-to-day life, to climate change, to politics. Window on Linda Varsell Smith - Poet trying to open windows and look beyond: She is a teacher, poet and novelist from Corvallis, Oregon who lives with her husband Court in a miniature museum with collections of dollhouses, angels, Swedish Folk art, seasonal decorations. Linda retired from teaching creative writing, life story, children's literature and Literary Publication which produced the award-winning, The Eloquent Umbrella magazine for Linn-Benton Community College. She taught writing workshops, judges poetry contests for all ages. She gives readings and sponsors poetry events. She was an editor for Calyx Books for 32 years, is former president of the Oregon Poetry Association and is current president of PEN Women in Portland. Linda is a member of Marys Peak Poets, Poetic License, Children's Book Writers, Writing the Wrongs to Rights, part of the Women's March. She plays competitive and cooperative Scrabble and is a fan of dance, gymnastics, art, plays, physics and metaphysics.
