A new school. A sinister classroom. An inhuman teacher. Alec Mason starts sixth grade in a new school and with a new best friend, Worm Tanner. Things immediately go from bad to worse. Their classroom is a creepy old portable building that Worm calls the Black Hole. And their teacher, Mrs. Amanita, rules with an iron hand while sucking the life out of the class. Then kids begin to disappear. What are the mysterious threads hanging underneath the building? Who and what is Mrs. Amanita? And what is she doing to the kids in their class? Alec and Worm must discover what their teacher is up to in time to save the class or they might be the next ones to disappear.
