In the year 2143, a worldwide campaign to wipe out cryonic cyborgs was initiated and spearheaded by the Global Police. There were 2,000 suspected nests of robots scattered around the world, having infiltrated almost every cryonic clinic in existence. These cryonic clinics held thousands of bodies in a frozen state of preservation, which attracted self-aware computers, who used them to recreate themselves as cyborgs. There were now tens of thousands of these half-human, half-robot hybrids scattered around the world, determined to dominate the planet.
