When I was little, I thought by the time I was 22, I'd have a stable job, a spouse, and be over 5'5. I'm 22, I think my relationship status is going to be permanently posted as "single," I'm working two jobs that are so far removed from my intended career path, and I'm still 5'5. Needless to say, the ideals of my seven year-old self are unattained. What I wish someone told me is that there will be experiences in your life that will mold you into a person that exceeds your "seven year-old" expectations. Not all experiences are going to be coated in sparkles and pixie dust. However, every experience is valid.
