My Friend Flutter is an epic adventure story involving two monarch butterflies, Flutter and Crash. They first meet during the migration to Mexico. Flutter is being mercilessly teased by bullies because he is different--he was born with deformed wings. He is befriended and defended by Crash.

Along the way, Crash becomes blind and dependent on his new friend. This touching story explores themes involving disability, being different, teasing, bullying and the need for an ally. The values of good parenting, empathy, honor, determination and a little luck are on full display. Life and yes, death, are discussed in a sensitive but matter of fact manner.
