I risked my life against vampires to get the Artemis necklace and now it doesn't work. To figure out why its powers have faded, Jax, my annoying hunter-mentor, has sent me to Ricketts, Maine in search of a witch named Rosalyn who he thinks can fix the necklace.

And because my life isn't complicated enough, I can't let on that my great and powerful Vân?tori abilities aren't working. I'll just have to rely on my faithful hellhound, Ramble, to keep me safe while I investigate the murders... and hope that the vampires don't catch up to me in the meantime.
