The story starts off in the summer of 1988. Samantha is getting on with her life after a breakup. The relationship is totally over until her Mom plans a trip for them to attend a wedding in Anaheim. A trip to California sounds awesome to everyone except Samantha. This is where her ex-boyfriend Julio lives now and it's his Uncle Juan getting married.
