Black Utah highlights the stories and experiences of the Black community living in Utah. You'll hear from dozens of individuals with diverse backgrounds sharing why Utah has a community for them and how they are thriving in this increasingly dynamic corner of the Mountain West. While hundreds of voices could have been included in this book, we are just bringing you a small sample from this ever-growing community made up of pioneers and change-makers who are actively creating a culture that lets all of us call Utah "home."

Less and less is Utah looked upon as a 'hidden gem' or overlooked completely. Utah is a place for business and for opportunity; it is a place where you can experience the outdoors in its wildest forms and feel welcome when you walk out your door. Utah is growing and it is changing-a reflection of the communities that breathe life into it.




While the Black community in Utah is small, it is stronger than ever and growing every year. There is still so much work to be done, but what we're here to share is that there is a place for you in this community.
