In EFL Resources: 20 Writing Assignments for Students and Teachers alike, the author provides actual writing assignments he sets during his custom-made courses. He then offers a freestyle version, and one that focuses on certain elements of language; both of which are, of course, written by the teacher-writer. These model texts are used to model language and give examples in how to write using different grammatical structures for students, inspire fellow teachers to experiment and to vary the writing assignments they set. Next, there is a selection of 8 real examples of writing submitted by students so errors that were made can be spotted. These are accompanied by answer keys to check what in fact the mistakes were. Lastly, the bibliography and further resources are designed to guide those who need to brush up on grammar or writing skills while the teachers notes give some more tips for educators based on experience. NB: Regarding suitability for learners, the levels range from A2+ to C2 and although designed for adults, can be adapted for teenagers with varying degrees of life experience in mind.
