Twisted forces the reader to ask big questions about friendships and family. It explores how friendships can change over time and how a broken family can affect children down the road. A woman searches for her father, and close friends betray each other in the name of lust and revenge. Yet there is an opportunity to grow by watching two characters' actions affect them negatively and by listening to the words of Wise Grandpa Bradley as he watches them sorrowfully learn life lessons the hard way. Twisted promises rawness, with occasional sciences of violence, but offers hope in the end.
