How do pastors and church leaders who hold the Bible as the absolute authority of faith and practice effectively disciple a generation of young adults who do not believe that ANYTHING is a standard for truth?Hosea 4:6 says that "...my people are destroyed from lack of knowledge."The American Church is losing an entire generation of Americans (Millennials) who have been lost to the culture and in my opinion, the Church has not sufficiently responded due to a lack of understanding. Millennials have been indoctrinated to the philosophy of postmodernism, which at its core, is a rejection of ANYTHING that presents itself as a standard of truth. The Church has two basic responses - one is to stand upon the truth in an authoritative fashion - to which the culture is tone-deaf; the other is to acquiesce to the culture and become more postmodern itself, which has resulted in a watered-down, ineffective "gospel". This book provides a balanced view of how to approach Millennials, to understand and communicate in a way they will understand, yet not sacrificing the essential elements of the Gospel so that spiritual transformation may truly take place.
