The author's deepest desire is to see the plans, craftiness and devices of Satan, our enemy, discerned and eradicated from marriages, especially among God's people. This can only be achieved through total obedience to God.

Obedience to Almighty God = Hearing the voice of God = Protecting yourself from deception.

As Hazel-Ann Pariag says: I made up my mind some time ago that if, by sharing my story, I could help someone else avoid the mistakes I made in my desire to be married, then I must do so. This is the first part of that story. God, through His Holy Spirit, is forever trying to steer us away from danger and along His path of right living, but as is so often the case, we ignore the red flags - the signs, the prompts and warnings - signalling danger. Her prayer is that as you read, you will appreciate the importance of discernment and obedience to God.
