The Word is a Person, the mighty force that holds the Universe together. God is the Word, He made all things by the Word He spoke, and John 1:14 says that the Word is Jesus Christ. Therefore, when you speak the Word, you are applying Jesus Christ to the situation directly. Whatever cannot stand in the way of Jesus Christ cannot stand in the way of His Word.
