1799 and change is sweeping through war torn Europe. England is under threat and desperate for intelligence about General Bonaparte's return to France. Archie Feltham is despatched on a dangerous spy mission into revolutionary Paris. For Archie this operation is a chance at redemption and he entrusts his friend, Peter Leabrook, a naval lieutenant, to land him on the Normandy coast and be there to retrieve him.
