I am convinced that the greatest war that we find ourselves engaged in is the conflicts of mind and soul. It is such a tremendous contest of will that it is difficult to know where the enemy actually exists. We are often deceived into believing that his legions of destruction have surrounded us from without, when in fact, they are insidiously attacking us from within. The demons of worry and anxiety, the imps of arrogance and over-confidence, the psychological warriors of frustration and depression, the mental assailants of sorrow and regret, and the spiritual snipers of fear and doubt all attempt to weaken our resolve in knowing that God is, and that He alone is able to see us through.
