That Journey Ends Here Lenora Frelix

Lenora was born on the Southside of Chicago, and she is the second of her mom's four Children. She was really close to her dad, but never had a relationship with her mom. Lenora was raised by her mom who has a mental illness that has never been treated. Because the Mental illness was never treated Lenora has had to deal with physical, verbal, and emotional abuse by her mom. Lenora has never heard anything encouraging, uplifting or loving from her mom, instead she has heard mean hateful things from her. The first time Lenora was put out of her mother's house she was 9 year's old. Her mom has always had hatred in her heart for her, and has even threatened and attempted to kill her. Child protective services has been involved multiple times, but no one ever did anything about it. Lenora continued to go through these things, and kept it from everyone, because the people who were supposed to be helping her didn't. There are even family members who knew about the mental illness, but all they did is ignored the issue. Ignoring a mental illness only makes the problem worse, and because the Illness was never treated, Lenora and her sisters went through hell trying to get away from their mother. Even when Lenora did finally get away, that still did not stop her mother from trying to ruin her life, and reputation. Lenora still occasionally gets nasty messages from her mother on social media, and she does not expect that to stop. Lenora has experienced, coped, and overcame all the obstacles in her life due to the mental illness that has been present in her life for years. All these years Lenora was afraid to open up and tell her story, but today, that journey ends here.
