Aryll dreamed of having adventures of her own. That one day she would leave the farm where she tended sheep, watched over by her indomitable uncle, the mysterious Blademaster Lord Dioz Ka'Orn. Her life was a happy one, if a bit lonely. The occasional caravan would bring news and books, and the sheep served to keep her company while she ran about slaying imaginary monsters and rescuing damsels in distress. The Kingdom of Golide knew a relative peace, rebuilding itself after decades of lawlessness. The good King Luthor was known for his benevolence, and the five races existed in harmony that strengthened with each passing year. Everything changed the day the Rider appeared. The hard-won order had been shattered, a monstrous horde swept across the kingdom, directed by a dark wizard of unknowable power. Chaos reigned once again. Legends are born in chaos.
