In business, and in poker, when we invest, we expect positive repayment (if that weren't the case, we wouldn't do it) and the law of probability shows what typical results should be. Then, we can use the winnings for personal entertainment or reinvest it. Or we'll have to analyze how to refinance, in case we go broke. All of these are part of those "business" decisions. In poker, the "asset" is called bankroll, the investments are the bets, (buyins) and depending on their management, the activity will either beprofitable or lead us to bankruptcy.
