Work and Caregiving

Demographic trends point to an increasing number of older people in need of care and to a general decline in the number of persons available for family care. Due to societal changes, the remaining potential caregivers participate increased in the labour market, which makes eldercare to a workplace relevant issue. This work explores the implications of combining work and caregiving responsibilities from both the caregiver's and the employer's perspective.
