Oda Nobunga (1534 - 1582): Unifier of Japan, known as "The Demon King" for his ferocity in war.
Toyotomi Hideyoshi (1537 - 1598): Successor of Oda Nobunaga who rose from being a peasant to become the powerful Second Unifier of Japan.
Tokugawa Ieyasu (1543 - 1616): Founder of the Tokugawa shogunate, which ruled Japan until the Meiji Era in 1868. Tokugawa Ieyasu chose Edo, now Tokyo, for the site of his castle and seat of power.
Date Masamune (1567 - 1636): Founder of the city of Sendai, this legendary warrior, tactician and ruler of northern Japan was known as "The One-Eye Dragon".
