The story of an ordinary man and the sunken land. The modern people have forgotten the ancient land's history by remembering only the religion and caste. Lord Shiva is the supreme man in the world. Old Tamil Literature mentioned Lord Shiva and his family as the base to Tamil. Lord Murugan, the second son of Shiva is the prince of Tamil Literature according to the ancient script. The sunken land, Kumarikandam ruled the world long ago. The boy who tamed the 'Yali' proposed to be the future king of Kumarikandam. Shiva is the son of the Herbal collector and he knew nothing about the kingdom. He lived alone in the Kumari forest with his family. He never spoke with the people other than his parents. He had never seen the beast named 'Yali' . The story focuses how Shiva grasps the kingship after he lost his parents even though the emperor, Narashima have five male children. The first emperor of Kumarikandam formed the rules to make the ordinary people as the king but the rules were violated and the sons of the emperors became the kings later. This is the first book in a trilogy on Kumarikandam, the land which became the role model to all the countries in the world.
