Left reeling from Catherine's discovery, Sean once again finds himself firmly wedged between a rock and a hard place. He can either come clean about his abilities in the hope Catherine will somehow believe him, or he can lie again and run the obvious risk of her running to DCI Morgan with her suspicions. With neither option particularly palatable, Sean instead chooses to delay the inevitable showdown with his partner in favour of closing the chapter on another part of his life. His offer to join the team tasked with escorting the recently recaptured Clive Douglas back to prison in the north of England is accepted, but what starts as an act of closure, quickly puts the focus back onto Sean's loyalties and allegiance. Out of friends and, out of options, Sean makes Catherine an offer to put things right. But at what cost?
