I once came from nothing. Adjusting to my new life as one of the seventeen wizards, one of the rulers of the world, should have been easier than running away from the others had been. I had the memories of my previous lives, the voice of a dead god, and the advice of an ancient elf to guide me. I should have been able to conquer any challenge that came my way.
