In his fourth book of poetry, Noah Tysick serves as a witness to the so-called 'end of days' and divine retribution through the lens of eschatology ("the doctrine of last things"). This volume is divided into three sections: Pestilence, The Number of a Man, and Final Judgment. Each are saturated in semiotics, allusions to all things apocalyptic, revolting, transgressive, and "Christ Haunted." Lyrical and disconcerting, Eschatology is an authentic work of American Gothic Literature. ABOUT THE AUTHORNoah Tysick is a writer and artist from Michigan. He received the Tyner-Roethke Award for his first poetry collection entitled My Sweet Auschwitz. He has authored more than a dozen previous books including Miss American Pie and Other Lies, Soothsayer, Visitations: Digital Pinhole Photographs, Exorcist Rising: A Magico-Religious Primer, and The KU Handbook for Writers (co-authored). His current and former incarnations include telemarketer, guest blogger and transcriber for His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama, writing center director, college lecturer, clinical medical assistant, and mortuary school dropout.
