The Milky Way, 2450, according to the Azic calendar. Azic is a milestone marking the day humans left the Earth to live aboard spacecrafts. The modern people live floating on motherships the size of nations. These nations without borders are the headquarters of giant corporations, where everything is run smoothly to meet the most lavish needs one could ever imagine. Three giant corporations share the entire Milky Way Galaxy. They are the three spacefaring clans: Mischall, Jasstumo, and Tattses. Their ancestors are those that founded the multinational corporate nations that had cornered the Earth's economy. ........................................ I reached out for Krachi's hand in vain as his fingers slipped away."Run, run fast!" He shouted. The laser light shot back and forth, tearing through the dark space with the strong smell of burnt flesh."Krachi!" I screamed in horror. From where I was, I could only see his shadow down in the passageway. Boom! An explosion sounded loudly, and the place filled with smoke. I held tightly onto the ground above me as the ceiling of the cave trembled, and the Hunting Wolves clinging to the cave walls came falling down."Krachi, where are you?" I called in despair. I had to find him. I couldn't just leave him here. I released my grip with one hand, ready to jump back down. Suddenly, a hand grabbed my wrist................................................ When you are alive, go with death; so that you are just a helper in this world, so that you stand rooted everywhere, so that you have a mind that is always fresh and alive. If you carry all the burdens of yesterday, your mind will be but mechanical and blunted. If every day you know to leave behind the inner memories, the times of injury, the painful things; then life and death are just one. There is no place for fear.
