Selected Devotional Messages based on Hymns Adebayo Ola Afolaranmi

"Speak to one another with psalms, HYMNS, and spiritual songs, sing and make music in your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ" (Ephesians 5:19-20 NIV). In line with this injunction by the Apostle Paul, some men and women of God in history had composed many hymns that we are singing today. These hymns were not just composed for fun. There were some circumstances that made the original composers to pen each of the hymns. The hymns, undoubtedly, are full of inspiration and lessons to be learned by all and sundry. This book, Selected Devotional Messages based on Hymns written by Rev. Adebayo Ola Afolaranmi, is a God-given material to enhance our hymn singing, help us in reflecting on the texts and divine messages in our hymns as we also learn from the lives of the hymn writers to encourage our faith and walk in the Lord. As we come each time to these devotional messages, let us lift our hearts and voices in praises to the Lord of all people and countries. Let us join the host of believers throughout history as we express our praises and commitment to God through the hymns and their stories. Meet the hymn writers and discover how God's work in their lives has left this legacy of hymns for us to share. God bless us all as we worship daily with this treasury of hymns.
