Black Waters Romon Elliston

The title and series of poems are a reflection of my darkest days, and those of other people, whom I have encountered, or experiences I have had, whether personally or vicariously. Black waters tackles a number of topics which have been crafted in an elegant poetic manner as not to come off as too blunt. However, for those who can relate, it touches our dark and painful experiences, hidden and unspoken events, and those thoughts which come across our minds but are ever enavted or even said, perhaps it rightly should be so. Lastly, despite the dark themes, there is a message for all those who've fallen in one of the many categories of poems, and so, it is for these persons to know that they are not alone, and the mere fact that I, we, have lived to speak about Black Waters means that there is hope, a real light at the end of the tunnel.
