The life of the Buddha is a remarkable story of altruism, service and great ideals. He was the son of a king, surrounded by luxury, whom he renounced to go out as a begging pilgrim in search of answers to the problems of human destiny. It is said that in his youth, seeing so much misery around him, he decided to dedicate his life to finding answers to the three great questions: Where did we come from? Why are we here?Where are we going? This decision was the result of four remarkable events, which some accept as literal events and others describe as visions that were made known to him so that he could not forget the great ministry for which he came into the world.
