What you would do if you were a turtle is probably pretty different from what you would do if you were a clown or invisible. This book asks you to imagine being different than you are. It asks what you would do with other identities. And it asks what you would do with some difficult situations like glue sticking your hair together, your pet fish dying, and your teacher broke a rule. Children are encouraged to empathize, to use imagination and judgment, and to exercise ways of coping. Original figurative illustrations are juxtaposed with abstracted clips of artwork.
