In the beginning, Ariel Catelli believes she is a normal teenage girl. However, she soon discovers she is part of an ancient race of elementals called Vila. They fight a dark race known as the Gulati, which come in different forms, each being a more formidable foe. The day Adam Black steals her seat in physics class, things begin to change. As she slowly opens up to him and they fall in love, her elemental powers are unlocked. When her father brings out an ancient-looking box with a video recording of her deceased mother, she meets her guardian. Sona, a small fairy-like creature, brings to light her heritage and explains her newfound powers. That is where their journey truly begins.
