The most revered football series returns for its 2009 season with a graphical overhaul and a number of enhancements.

Once more, the Pro Evolution series separates itself from the competition by focusing on realism and fluid gameplay in an attempt to make the 2009 edition feel as close to the real sport as possible. First to change is the games visuals, which now match the power of next-generation hardware, with detailed character models and stadiums all on show. There is also a new focus on customisation, allowing players to alter each match and team to their own tastes. Opponents and fellow team mates intelligence has also been raised, who will now always be on the move looking for open ground and line themselves up for shots.

A number of fan favourite modes make a welcome return, including Master League mode, where players take the role of just one team mate on the pitch, allowing players to experience working as a team, even while not in control of the ball. An online playable Legends mode lets players team up online and compete together.
