Hosted by Stephen Fry, with sidekick and team captain Alan Davies, each series uses a letter of the alphabet to produce the questions and challenges. Series E episodes are: 'Engineering', 'Electricity', 'Eating', 'Exploration', 'Europe', 'Everything, Etc.', 'Espionage', 'Eyes and Ears', 'Entertainment', 'England', 'Endings', 'Empire' and 'Elephants'.

Series F episodes are: 'Families', 'Fire and Freezing', 'Flotsam and Jetsam', 'Fight Or Flight', 'France', 'Fakes and Frauds', 'Fingers and Fumbs', 'Fashion', 'The Future', 'Flora and Fauna', 'Films and Fame' and 'Food'.
