The guitar master is featured on three classic Verve albums: Movin' Wes (1964); Smokin' At The Half Note (1965), featuring Montgomery's famous break on 'If You Could See Me Now', described by Pat Metheny as "the greatest guitar solo I have ever heard"; and the Latin-tinged Tequila (1966), featuring Ron Carter on bass and a large string section arranged by Claus Ogerman.
