Bach & Italy Vol. 5: Solos For Strings
Chiara Bertoglio
The fifth volume of Chiara Bertoglio’s Bach&Italy project is the first of two albums devoted to Italian transcriptions of Bach’s solo string works. It gathers true gems, such as Sergio Fiorentino’s transcription of the First Violin Sonata, alongside discoveries like Alfonso Rendano’s melodies superimposed on two Preludes from the Cello Suites, with further works by Longo, Piccioli and Fels.
