Book of Transfigurations
Dalava
Dálava reimagines Moravian folk songs through the lens of creative jazz and post-rock styles. American vocalist Julia Ulehla and guitarist Aram Bajakian are joined by an elite band of Vancouver improvisers including Peggy Lee, Tyson Naylor and Dylan van der Schyff. Ulehla's deeply-felt vocals and Bajakian's guitar wizardry reanimate these elliptical parables of love, death and the natural world.
